Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about coverage, pricing, install timing and ongoing support.
- What areas does UniLink cover?
- We have offices in Auckland (Henderson) and Wellington (Johnsonville) and look after merchants across the wider regions. For installs outside our main coverage areas, give us a call — we'll quote travel separately and honestly.
- How quickly can you install a new POS system?
- For a single till with one of our supported software systems, typically 1–2 weeks from order to live. Multi-site rollouts and custom integrations take longer — we'll give you a realistic timeline upfront.
- Do I have to buy the hardware outright?
- No. For POS, EFTPOS and PBX we structure payment terms over 24–60 months. You can choose to buy, rent or rent-to-own — and at end of term you can return, buy out or upgrade.
- What POS software do you support?
- We supply and integrate three core systems: Yinbao (multilingual, popular with Chinese-language merchants), GPOS (cloud POS for retail and hospitality chains), and RestoSuite (full restaurant management — orders, tables, kitchen).
- Will my existing alarm or EFTPOS keep working after a fibre install?
- Maybe — and that's exactly the kind of detail we check before pulling the trigger. Monitored alarms, fax lines and EFTPOS sometimes need re-provisioning when copper switches to fibre. We'll confirm with the provider before install.
- Do you handle support after install?
- Yes. After install we stay with you — POS, network and surveillance issues all go through one phone number, whether it's an onsite call-out, remote troubleshooting or ongoing maintenance.
- Can you integrate EFTPOS into our existing POS?
- In most cases yes — we offer stand-alone terminals, mobile EFTPOS and EFTPOS integrated directly into POS systems and cash registers. Compatibility depends on the POS — talk to us with the model you're running.
- How do I get a quote?
- Fill in the form on this page (or any service page) with your details and what you're after. We respond within one business day. For complex multi-site jobs we'll usually want a site visit before quoting.
